Enjoy sushi in an elegant and refined interior

If you were walking along busy Military Rd in Sydney’s North Shore and looked at this restaurant’s outdoor entrance, the expectation would not be to find such a mindfully designed and spacious interior. Sushi Train Neutral Bay is unique from what you’d expect of a kaitenzushi venue.

Elegant and polished interiors

Rather than being a small and efficient place to eat, as many sushi train eateries are, this is a proper sit-down (and conversation) restaurant. The wooden finishings and minimalist designs contribute to a calming atmosphere. There are comfortable booth tables for families and groups, along with plush chairs for solo diners.

Specialty a la carte dishes are available specifically at Sushi Train’s Neutral Bay branch

Diverse range of sashimi, prepared skilfully

Led by Ken Takenaka, who also displays his culinary craftmanship at Jicca Dining, Sushi Train Neutral Bay offers a wide range of sushi, sashimi, salads and Japanese hot food. You can pick your plate from the conveyor belt and if what you want isn’t there, the kitchen will likely be able to make it for you.

Head chef and owner, Ken Takenaka

Professionalism and focus describe the ambience at Sushi Train Neutral Bay. The openness of the kitchen design means that you can watch your food being prepared. The crackly sound of a chef using the aburi method to torch scallop and the mesmerising hand-dance of nigiri rice balls being rolled are part of an atmosphere focussed on creating delicious Japanese cuisine.
