On Tuesday 18 March 2025, there will be a BIG sale day at Bondi Beach. For dine-in AND takeaway customers, Sushi Train Bondi Beach is offering plates for $3.50 each.
YES! That means that each plate of favourites like “Salmon & Avocado Nigiri”, “California Roll”, “Aburi Chicken Cheese Roll”, and “Squid Tempura” is just $3.50.

Which restaurant is serving this delightful day of Japanese dining? The venue is called “Sushi Train Bondi Beach”. They have been at this location (Google map link here) for more than 20 years!
Standing on the main street of Campbell Parade just a 1-minute walk away from Bondi Pavilion, “Sushi Train Bondi Beach” is small but mighty.
With seating for around 20 people outside and 10 people inside, they’re not a huge restaurant. However, their team is speedy and skilful. That means your next order of steaming gyoza or aburi chashu (roast pork) sushi comes out fast!

Next to the Pavilion at Bondi Beach
If you are feeling lazy to cook, Tuesday 18 March is when you can take a break. At $3.50 per plate, you can bring Japanese-inspired dinner home for the family without over-stretching your wallet.
For local Bondi residents and Sydney-siders, Tuesday 18 March will be a great day to visit the beach! After a refreshing swim or fitness session on the sand, you can treat yourself to a big meal of sushi.
Alternatively, you could pack a few plates for takeaway to enjoy at the beach.
Sushi Train Bondi Beach is just 1-minute walk away from the iconic Bondi Pavilion and 2-minutes walk away from the beach.
The kitchen is fast and the service is friendly.
While the $3.50 promotion on Tuesday 18 March applies to most plates, please note that dishes like udon, sashimi, ramen, rice bowls and drinks are excluded. They will be at normal prices.
I’ve shared pictures of their Karaage Chicken Curry Rice and Chashu (pork) Ramen below. If you are thinking about adding hot food, they’re my recommendations.
Japanese beer is also available at Sushi Train Bondi Beach. It pairs delightfully with karaage fried chicken.
