The original of the Brisbane inner-city markets
- Reddacliff Place, 266 George Street, Brisbane City
Every Wednesday, the area at the top end of Queen Street Mall in Brisbane’s CBD bustles with music and vibrant trade. Around 85 stallholders gather and sell everything from baked goods, premium meats, fresh seafood, gourmet meals and farm-direct produce. For a tour, see our YouTube video.
The Markets happen every Wednesday from 8am to 6pm
If you work in the CBD and looking for a quick lunch next to Victoria Bridge, the street food here is mouthwatering. You’ll find German sausages, Danish bread, Spanish paella, Portuguese tarts and more international cuisine varieties.
Sampling gin from an Australian distillery
Street food and live music in a picturesque location
Reddacliff Place Brisbane City Markets are a great oppotunity to taste the flavour of the country. Stalls bring produce from regional farms and have samples to try. We even saw fresh honey right next to a honey comb cage of live bees! The diversity of artisan products on display were interesting, and it was a pleasure to speak with local business owners like Beech Mountain Distillery who enthusiastically described their craft.
Discover artisan goods and gourmet food
If you can’t make it to Reddacliff on Wednesdays, you can check-out its smaller sibling inner-city market on Thursdays from 8am to 2pm. This one is at Cathedral Square (410 Ann Street corner of Ann and Wharf Street).
