Biggest Farmers Market in Canberra

Run by the Rotary Club of Hall, Capital Region Farmers Market is a community project which brings together around 100 stalls at Canberra’s Exhibition Park. These stalls sell produce including baked goods, fruits & nuts, dairy products, plants, meat & seafood, gourmet food and vegetables. For foodies and visitors to the ACT, this place is a must-visit.

Meet passionate business owners

The Farmers Market happens every Saturday from 7:00am to 11:30am. The atmosphere is lively, with tourists and locals browsing fresh seasonal food. Every member of the family is likely to find something they like. Perhaps a hot chocolate for the kids, a gin (distilled from Australian botanicals) for Dad, a platter of shucked oysters for Mum, and dried treats (made from local vegetables and grain) for the dog.

The region’s freshest produce

Meet local and regional businesses

The stalls at Capital Region Farmers Market represent the diversity and flavour of the Southern Tablelands. With all profits raised going back into the Australian community, this local agricultural event has been running since 2004.

Visitors are welcomed to have conversations with stall-holders and learn about how their produce is uniquely grown, hand-crafted and used. It’s great to know that as a consumer, you are supporting the grower directly and sampling products that are health-conscious.

A community-driven initiative run by the Rotary Club of Hall

Capital Region Farmers Market is free to visit, and we’d recommend you to go earlier (around 9am). This way the stalls are more stocked and you’ll have more samples to try 😉 See the TikTok video of when we visited.
