Deliciously presented food at great prices

Who said that a big meal needs to make a big dent on your bank account? Mr Stonepot, a restaurant which has branches in Eastwood and Chatswood (Lemon Grove shopping centre), proves that quality Chinese food can still be served at reasonable prices.

Expect a possible wait time if you’re coming during peak hour for lunch and dinner. The compromise for cheaper meals is less space and more noise. Although the restaurant in Eastwood does not feel cramped, be prepared for chatter surrounding you on all sides as tables are closer to each other. Uncles making jokes, aunties excitedly greeting their nieces, babies demanding attention … is the kind of ambience to expect.

The kind of place you catch-up with family in and enjoy hearty Chinese food

The appearance of Mr Stonepot doesn’t hint to its affordable pricing. The tableware feels authentic, with a hand-crafted, earthenware detailing. The menu is descriptive, well-presented and introduces the range of Chinese cuisine elegantly.

You can see the kitchen’s attentiveness to quality in the way dishes are served. The Singapore-style Barrumundi was bubbling and the flesh separated gorgeously. The roe scattered on top of the blue-coloured Butterfly Pea Fried Rice was an elegant touch.
