Fans of traditional Cantonese dining will be glad to hear that a new siu mei (BBQ meats) shop has opened in Haymarket. Named Golden Century BBQ, the kitchen is the newest creation by the restaurant group known for its legendary Sussex Street venue.
In comparison to the two other venues by Golden Century Group (namely XOPP and The Century), this one is a more low-key affair. The kitchen occupies a portion of the Ground floor of The Exchange building in Darling Square, and its seating is more food court style.

The menu is simple. You can order Char Siu, Crispy Pork Belly, Roast Duck and pair it with rice, noodles or soup noodles. There are select side dishes, including yum cha classics like Har Gow, Siu Mai and Char Siu Bao buns. Beer from Tsing Tao and Kirin is available to wash down your savoury meal.
