Enjoy seafood and yum cha in North Ryde RSL

Fear not if you don’t want to travel all the way to Chatswood or Eastwood, suburbs which traditionally have sumptuous Chinese dining options. House of Tong is insider’s knowledge in North Ryde’s busy RSL club.

The legendary XO pipis with fried vermicelli

Specialising in Cantonese cuisine, or cooking found in the south of China, House of Tong serves a variety of seafood dishes. Of course, as the litmus test of any Cantonese seafood kitchen, we had to try the XO pipis with fried vermicelli. This tasted beautiful and we made sure to soak up the noodles with plenty of the gravy-like sauce.

Cantonese dining in an elegant, contemporary setting

Dine out with your family and host a private event

House of Tong serves a vibrant yum cha menu during the day, with familiar favourites like Mango Pancake that the kids will love. If you’re looking to try something different to Prawn Dumplings and BBQ Pork Bun, we’d recommend trying Steamed Tofu Roll, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, and Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce

Everyone’s favourite, Sweet & Sour Pork

At night time, House of Tong is a scene from the classic Cantonese restaurant: bustling with families seated around large circular tables and notebook-carrying servers attentively tending to requests. There are private rooms available for celebratory events and a selection of wines to choose from.

If you’d like to make a booking, you can call House of Tong on (02) 9878 4766. Parking is usually available in the carpark outside North Ryde RSL Club.

There are tanks of live fish, crabs and lobster at the back of the restaurant
