A few minutes’ walk from Wynyard station, you will find a set of stairs at 2 Bridge St leading down into a small food arcade. Keep walking to the end and you’ll find the relaxed, happy-go-lucky space of Diggy Doo’s.
The most noticeable aspect of Paul’s smile is that it comes from his eyes as much as it does his grin. There is a genuine warmth and curiosity in the way he interacts with people. On a bright weekday morning, we sat down at his long wooden coffee bar for the first time.
Whilst busily preparing cups of aromatic bean powder for the day ahead, Paul shared about how he operated a coffee cart previously. In a ‘trust the process’ kind of way, one thing led to another and Diggy Doo’s was opened.
We love the cafe as a space where knowledge, laughter and familiarity can be shared.
